Thank you for calling Navient

Newark, Del., Oct. 21, 2014 - Last week, nearly 6,200 employees nationwide celebrated the transition to a new name.

Randalin Eiland of Indianapolis welcomed customers from across the country, "Thank you for calling Navient." Eiland works at Navient, which earlier this year separated from Sallie Mae. This week, the company completed the transition of its servicing operations, introducing the new name to more than 12 million customers nationwide. The transition follows the separation of Navient from Sallie Mae in May 2014.

Navient provides quality customer service to help millions of American students successfully repay their student loans.

Navient also performs asset recovery services for government, higher education and business clients. Navient's family of companies includes General Revenue Corporation, Pioneer Credit Recovery, Student Outreach Solutions and Student Assistance Corporation.

Since May 2014, the Navient Foundation, a philanthropic organization sponsored by Navient, and Navient employees, have contributed more than $375,000 to local charities through employee fundraising, charitable contributions and foundation grants.

"Employee fundraising is an integral part of the culture here at Navient," said April Davies of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a Navient team member and active participant in employee giving programs. "Many of us direct our financial contributions to services and programs that benefit our friends and neighbors in our local communities."

Throughout the year, Navient plans fun workplace events and fundraising activities. To celebrate the transition, employees in each state contributed to local food drives to benefit several hunger-relief programs at the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Newark, Del., St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Second Helpings in Fishers, Ind.
